For anyone who cares

Wed May 13, 2009, 8:08 PM
I've been trying to get into the college(private) of my dreams; Cooper Union.
If you know about it then you'll know why its a dream, for those who don't its a fully paid scholarship school for art, architecture and engineering. They rank at the top for art schools in America.

I have already been denied once and their acceptance rate is somewhere around 2% but i honestly feel that with a year of pure dedication i can stand a chance.
The point of this journal is to say that DA has given me more inspiration in the last month then i have ever had in my entire life and i've been involved with art since about 5.

My pleasure

Can I honestly say when I saw it on facebook I was like holy shit she did a pretty fucking amazing job

How you were able to use and work chalk pastels like that is beyond me
:iconelliez:
Yeah, this was a bitch to do... I would have like 4 hour nonstop drawing sessions once in three weeks, which is why it took so long. I get bored easily, so the best way is to do it over time. Pastels didn't like me, that's for sure. I had to redraw the whole face twice, nose and lips even more.. Chalk pastels are much easier to control than oil pastels, haha. Though I'm quite confident in them as well, from that one abstract drawing I got back in HS.

I hope having a good enough portfolio will get me some scholarships!!
